Karl Morphet, illustrator of The Amazing Adventures Of Boogie One Shoe And Munch The Mouse, is much sought after by writers, educational recource managers and record companies for sleeve design.Karl was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England and showed great artistic promise as a boy. At the age of 11 Karl lost an eye but this seemed to give him more determination to succeed.
In the past he has worked for Virgin Records as a display artist and toured with Captain Beefhart. He also became manager of the late blues legend Ted Hawkins for a time. Karl studied art and design at Scarborough College under the guidance of Malcolm Burn. Burn himself studied at London's Slade School Of Art under the tutelage of Stanley Spencer.
